Taste of Fox Chapel Fundraiser

I wanted to share some information that I have gathered about a location for the Taste of Fox Chapel Event.  There’s not too many places that could accommodate us, but I have found two, each of which presents different issues to consider:

Boyd Community Center.  They can accommodate us any Saturday night in April.  They have the gym and class rooms available, along with the main hallway.  It would cost us about $500-600 for a four hour event (including time for set up before the event starts).  They have tables we can use and they will clean up; we’d have to set up and supply our own linens, plates, etc.  There are no restrictions on bringing alcohol into the facility.  I think the issue here will be having enough time to set up and take down.

 

Fox Chapel Racquet Club.  They also have all Saturday’s in April available.  There’s a flat charge of $750 for the use of the hall, which includes set up, take down, and clean up.  They’d charge us for linens and utensils, or we could bring our own.  We can bring in our own food, but they’d charge us the retail price for any alcohol we bring in.  In other words, if we get a case of beer donated by one of the local distributors, the Club charges us the retail price to bring it in.  Not sure how well that works.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!  I WILL SEND AROUND THE LIST OF WHO SIGNED UP FOR WHAT AT THE LAST MEETING.

Founders Field They have April 9th, 16th and 23rd available. $400 for a 4 hour event. They said that we would have complete flexibility for set-up and break down. They have utensils we can use; but no linens, plates etc. As far as clean up what we bring is what  weleave with, we just need to put the trash into the dumpsters. There are no restrictions on alcohol.
